A simple and quick to get results backup program. It is free from often confusing bells and whistles. ZipBackup does have a quick selection for backing up your documents or everybody's documents. There are individual program shortcuts. Instead a help file shows you how to backup outlook and other programs. It's the same for scheduling and CD burning. It all can be done with outside help. Simplicity has its benefits. You could talk someone computer illiterate through a complete backup over the phone while driving home.

Need a backup and need it quick. ZipBackup will do it for you. Don't look for something fancy. ZipBackup is simple and looks simple. I did several backups and it performed well in most cases. It does your typical backup modes. You can go through all 4 wizard screens or start the backup from any of them.

ZipBackup can backup your word document while you're in it. However, it cannot backup your Outlook files. Many backup programs cannot and it's unfair to condemn a program because of it. However, if there is a file not backed up I want to know about it. I want something red and flashing on the screen. ZipBackup buries the fact somewhat.. You actually have to read it and look for it.

Considering the price it's a fair value and ZipBackup has its market. I hope the next version has a stronger visual warning if a backup is not complete.
