What our tester has to say...

After reviewing several Outlook Express backup programs 123 Outlook Express Backup did not impress me particularly. It does the job but it simply remembers nothing from one job to the next. I have to set the designation and click on boxes stating that my Outlook Express and Messenger is closed. It should be not much more programming to close these applications automatically if they are open. The utility allows you to schedule the backups. Some similar priced ones do not. But that makes an auto close feature even more important. I tested OutBack a few days ago and it closes outlook express and IM just fine. I was not able to test the automation option since the feature is only available in the full version. That didn't make much sense to me.

Overall the program worked well and did what it claims. I liked the inclusion of the Microsoft Instant Messenger into the backup. Also tech support has to be specially noted. I got a response in a few hours even on the weekend.
